Loctite Threadlocker 243 Oil-Resistant Part No: 1330799

The 1330799 Threadlocker 243 – Oil-Resistant is a trusted adhesive used to lock and seal metal fasteners in demanding conditions. Based on Henkel’s Loctite 243 formula, its acrylic chemistry cures anaerobically between close-fitting metal surfaces and tolerates slight oil contamination, such as lubrication or cutting fluids. With a viscosity of ~1,300–3,000 cP at 20 rpm, it’s thick enough to stay in place but still easy to apply. Once cured, it delivers a break-away torque of about 26 N·m on M10 steel fasteners and a prevailing torque of 5 N·m, yet allows disassembly with ordinary hand tools. 



It operates across a broad temperature range (–55 °C to +180 °C), making it ideal for engine components, pumps, and other heavy-duty assemblies subject to vibration. Because of its oil tolerance, no aggressive cleaning is needed prior to application, reducing prep time and making it a practical choice for field or shop repairs.
